This ensemble work takes a riveting look at some of the poignant moments in India’s culture. Why does Meera shun her royal life and turn saint-devotee? What made Tagore’s heroine Chandalika proclaim that she was transformed by the words of an ascetic? Why did Sarojini Naidu’s lyrical poetry change to be being revolutionary? Vignettes from the lives of several women are brought to life through narrative and music. A woman can inspire and cause life around her to be energized through her love, anger, bravery and the entire gamut of emotions, sometimes in one day! Who is she? What propels her? Why and how is she?
